Lakewood Ranch Porcelain Veneers Provider - Hide Tooth Imperfections with LUMINEERS

At Lakewood Ranch Cosmetic Dentistry, we believe that every patients deserves to enjoy their ideal smile. With porcelain veneers and Lumineers®, Lakewood cosmetic dentists Dr. Michelle Scala helps patients cover flawed teeth to achieve their dream smile.

Why Consider Veneers

Creating the right cosmetic treatment plan depends on the condition of the smile. For many patients simply looking to improve the color and shade of their teeth, teeth bleaching and veneers are often considered the least invasive yet most effective treatment options. While teeth whitening may be able to remove some surface stains, patients with deep intrinsic staining, chipping, or teeth that are too small, and other dental issues may find teeth bleaching provides insufficient coverage..

Veneers are thin slips of porcelain attached to the front of your teeth, effectively covering the natural tooth. With this treatment, patients do not need to worry about deep staining or tooth misalignment detracting from their smile. Unlike teeth bleaching options which can fade and require periodic touch-ups, veneers are permanently attached, ensuring lasting results and with proper care, veneers can last well into the future.

For patients concerned about uneven smile zones, the instant uniformity provided by veneers makes this treatment a viable alternative to lengthy orthodontic treatment. In some instances, Dr. Scala will recommend the use of Invisalign® as a preliminary treatment to straighten your teeth then apply veneers or Lumineers® onto stubborn or severely stained teeth.

Veneers at Lakewood Ranch Cosmetic Dentistry

At our Lakewood dental practice, Dr. Scala offers traditional porcelain veneers and prep-less Lumineers® for patients looking to improve their dentition. While both serve the same purpose, application and longevity vary between treatments, making each ideal for different types of patients.

As traditional veneers are made of porcelain, this treatment option provides more coverage than Lumineers. As a result, porcelain veneers are often recommended for patients with serious intrinsic staining that would be difficult to cover with the thinner Lumineers®. Since this type of veneer is a little thicker than prep-less Lumineers®, a small layer of dental enamel must be removed in order to secure the veneer to the tooth and avoid the look of bulky, too large teeth.
